In this hot, humid weather all you can do is pray that your foundation lasts long enough during the day, or you can invest in a long-wearing foundation instead. My skin isn't perfect and hence I prefer a
medium-to-full coverage foundation even in the summertime. Previously, I've used the MAC Studio Fix liquid foundation but, unfortunately, the formula caused me breakouts and I had to search for an alternative. After doing a bit of research, I've ended up buying the 'Double Wear' foundation by EsteƩ Lauder.

As the name suggests, it's a long-wearing, 'stay-in-place' foundation-once you apply it onto your skin, it'll stay there until you remove it; moreover, you'll have to make sure that you've cleansed the skin thoroughly afterwards. It gives a nice medium, yet buildable coverage which in case you apply too much of it, it can easily end up looking 'cakey'. That being said, one layer of this foundation is more than enough; there is no need to apply a concealer on top of the foundation. Thus, this foundation is definitely not for individuals seeking super lightweight, natural-looking finish aka 'second skin look.' But don't get me wrong, the foundation does look natural on the skin however you can still tell that you're wearing a foundation.
Once you apply it on your face, it'll dry pretty quickly, so you have to make sure to apply a pea-sized amount of product and blend it in as quickly as possible. It dries to a matte finish and if you have a normal to combination skin type, you don't need to set it with a powder.
The color selection is absolutely amazing- I was matched to 2W2-Rattan which is described as light to medium with warm beige and it suits me perfectly. My only concern is in regards to the packaging- I wish it had a pump included, too.

Overall, I think it's a great foundation that has an amazing staying power and coverage. I'd highly recommend this to individuals with combination (like me) to oily skin types, and to those of you who struggle to find the right match for your skin tone.
