Gone are the days when I used to wash my hair every single day, thanks to invention of dry shampoos. *heave a sigh of relief*  Man, the struggle was real: greasy roots and dry ends. And the
more I washed my hair, the oilier the roots got and the drier were the ends. What a nightmare it was! The only solution was to reduce the amount of washings to three to four times a week, and use a dry shampoo in between.

I've tried many dry shampoos--some smelled rather funky, some didn't do anything at all, some left my hair grey, which clearly wasn't going to cut it. So, after a long and crazy ride in search for an effective  dry shampoo, ladies and gentlemen, I present to you the one and only Klorane Lab Dry Shampoo with Oat Milk ($19.50)

In as little as two minutes this dry shampoo eliminates oil, dirt and odor from the hair. I spray it on the roots and leave it on for 2-3 minutes, then thoroughly brush through my hair. To be honest, I haven't tried anything that works as effective at absorbing oil from my hair--it leaves hair clean, fresh and voluminous.  The scent is quite pleasant, not overpowering at all, too.  Moreover, it is paraben and sulfate-free--don't want them in any of our products, right? The only thing to keep in mind, is that it leaves a white tint once you apply it, however after a few minutes of absorbing into the hair and brushing it through, it will eventually disappear. It's an amazing product!

Bumble and Bumble Pret-a-powder ($26) is a translucent, finely milled powder; equal parts dry shampoo, style extender and volumizer.  It isn't as effective at absorbing oil as Klorane, but adds a bit of texture and volume to sleek hair. I like to use this as a style extender (braid, messy-bun, ponytail, updo) to add a bit of freshness and texture to the hair. The best part of this product is the scent-- it smells divine. The only disappointment is the  packaging-- it dispenses a small amount of product from a tiny hole, which makes it time-consuming and inconvenient.
