For some odd reason, this past few weeks I wasn't into makeup all that much, so that being the case I thought I'd start using some beauty products I've been neglecting lately. There is no better feeling than rediscovering a product you've loved in the past, but have forgotten about in the never-ending process of 'shopping the stash.' So, as a result, here's a little report on the the things I'd been using-and loving-this week that I thought were worth mentioning in today's post.

Unlike transparent primers that only extend the wear of your eyeshadow, this one in particular is also a color-correcting primer, which comes in two shades (Light/Medium&Medium/Deep), and can be used both as an eyeshadow and a concealer primer. It helps my eyeshadow stay put all day- not that I have the oiliest lids to prove the longevity- and works well as an under eye brightener. On days when I want a light coverage, I dab this alone under the eyes, however when I need more coverage, I'll use this as a primer and then apply a proper concealer, or corrector afterwards.
I'm a big fan of the 'Double Wear' range in general, so when I heard that a 'lighter' version of my favorite foundation is being released, I just needed to have it in my life-duh! It met all of my expectations- the texture is light, yet it provides enough coverage to cover the imperfections, plus leaves a natural, air-brushed finish. Moreover, it is long-lasting and will stay put throughout the day regardless of the weather conditions. I just added this to my 'holy-grail' foundation list. Bam.

The Bobbi Brown corrector never fails to satisfy my expectations. I always reach for this whenever I need a bit of extra coverage to cover the dark circles under the eyes due to lack of sleep. I figured that the best way to apply it is using a finger tip, since the warmth of the skin helps to easily blend the product. Next time, however, I think I'll get a peach based shade instead of the pink one.

Before I bought an eyeshadow palette, this was the only matte eyeshadow I owned, which I used in my crease and the lower lash line, but never, ever on the brows. Swiss Chocolate is a gorgeous matte medium warm brown with a slight reddish tone-it's my staple eyeshadow whenever I travel since it takes up so little space.

Although I don't like to set my makeup- I prefer the dewy finish look- I've realized that my T-zone gets oilier than usual, so I started applying a translucent powder to set my makeup now. As a result, I think I get less shiny during the day and I don't need to blot as much as I used to. The thing I love the most about this product is that it doesn't transfer any color and is relatively inexpensive.

Have you tried any of the products I mentioned in this post?
