Happy October, everybody! The year is drawing to a close rather quickly, so make sure to enjoy every moment of it. For today's post, I'd like to feature some products that were-again- rediscovered just recently; I've pulled out a few things that were laying in the back of the makeup drawer and haven't gotten the attention they deserve. So basically, I've been trying to make the most of what I have if that makes sense.

Firstly, I'm really happy to start using the Too Faced Amazing Face foundation again, which is currently my second bottle-yes, it was well worth the repurchase. About two years ago, I had my makeup done at Sephora, and the beauty adviser used this foundation on my dehydrated skin (it was in March) and I was really impressed with the results which made me buy it without a shadow of doubt. This foundation leaves a natural dewy finish that is undetectable even in close-up- even an eyebrow threading lady was asking about the foundation I was wearing, since she was looking for one with a natural-looking finish-well, it's a good sign, don't you think? It offers a medium but buildable coverage that easily covers some minor imperfections, but most importantly, it doesn't cling to dry patches like many foundations do, so I'm loving it at the moment. The only drawback is the packaging-it doesn't come with a pump.

It seems like I've really underestimated the power of liquid highlighters, it can easily change up the whole look for the better by adding dimension to the complexion. Last January, I've traded my Sephora points for a deluxe sample of the Nars Illuminator in Copacabana, but haven't tried it up till now- sample sized products get lost in the stash really easily, am I right? The Copocabana shade is described as 'glistening pearl' and I prefer to use it as a highlighter, applying it on the top of the cheekbones, down the center of the nose, forehead, and chin- it instantly adds a touch of radiance to the complexion which I prefer to matte, flat look.

I'm almost running out of the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer, which I use to brighten up the under-eye area since I bought one in a shade lighter than my skin tone. It's a great  all-rounder concealer for covering blemishes, redness, and dark circles, you just need to pick the right shade. It offers a medium to full coverage, but will never end-up looking cakey, or unnatural. Also, the formula is brilliant in that it keeps the delicate under-eye area hydrated throughout the day, so it doesn't accentuate the dry patches I tend to get every now and then.

My current favorite fragrance is the Chanel Chance Eau Tendre-a lovely fruity but fresh scent that I absolutely adore. Every time I wear it, I receive tons of compliments. It has a great lasting power according to others, but I myself don't notice the scent after a couple of minutes because my smell sensors get used to it rather quickly, unfortunately (so unfair).

Next up, I've been using the Nars Orgasm blush on a daily basis- it's a nice peachy pink blush/highlighter that adds life to the complexion, and just enhances the look in a swipe of a brush.
Hourglass Arch Brow Sculpting Pencil in Soft Brunette is the only thing I use to define and shape my brows. I think it's one of the best purchases of the year-it's so easy to work with, it fills in the sparse areas of my brows and sets them in place in a matter of seconds. The ashy brown color perfectly matches my brow hair really well.
One of my absolute favorite lipsticks at the moment is the Givenchy Le Rouge in Rose Dressing, which is described as 'bright coral pink,' but looks more of a pink on my lips for some reason. Nevertheless, it's so creamy, easily-blendable, and moisturizing that it makes me want to wear it all the time.
And finally, if there is one tool I've been using the most then it's the MAC 217- a great soft brush for applying and blending the eyeshadow. Love it!
