In terms of skincare, my philosophy is to personalise it to your specific needs and implement a routine that works for you. For instance, recently I've been dealing with occasional breakouts, uneven skin tone and texture. As such, I simplified my skincare routine by incorporating products that target my skin concerns. So far, they have worked well for me and I’d want to share them with you as well. Of course, it is also vital to acknowledge some internal and environmental factors that affect skin appearance and well-being. For me, it is important to get at least 7-8 hour nights sleep, eat clean and nutrient-dense food, meditate and unwind to deal with stress. However, I will devote a separate post dedicated to this topic in the future. In the meantime, I filmed a weekly vlog featuring my trip to London and my evening skincare routine.

Morning
Every morning I just splash lukewarm water on my face and dry my skin with a clean towel. After I’m done with that, I use The Ordinary's Ethylated Ascorbic Acid 15% Solution (Vitamin C) to brighten and even out the skin tone. Then follow it up by Clinique’s Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly (green colour cartridge- targeted for irritation) to hydrate and soothe skin. Finally, I  apply La Roche-Posay's Anthelios SPF to protect skin from the sun.

Evening
I treat my evening skincare routine as a relaxing ritual and always put on calming music to unwind. Depending on how much makeup I wore during the daytime, I cleanse with Garnier Micellar Water followed by Dr. Jart’s Dermaclear Micro Foam Cleanserwhich despite its foaming features, gently and effectively removes impurities without stripping the skin. I realised that whenever I use this cleanser, I get fewer breakouts. I tone my face with Pixi Glow Tonic and use Clinique’s Pep-Start eye cream to hydrate and remove puffiness under my eyes. Then, once my skin is dry, I apply the Dr. Dennis Gross Ferulic + Retinol Wrinkle Recovery Overnight Serum, which I really love. I’ve seen the most dramatic difference in skin texture, tone and firmness after using it consistently for about two weeks. The serum delivers a time-released dose of retinol, which reduces the possibility of skin irritation and also includes antioxidant ingredients such as ferulic acid and niacinamide to repair and stimulate cell renewal. I think it is definitely one of my best purchases of this year! Then I follow it up with a moisturizer  Clinique’s Dramatically Different Hydrating Jelly (with a green cartridge). Finally, I apply Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask on my lips, and that’s it.
